Nissan Sponsors 2008 Janadriah Festival
Nissan Middle East and Alhamrani United Co., exclusive dealer of Nissan vehicles in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, are sponsoring this year’s annual Janadriah festival, which takes place every year in Riyadh.
The Heritage and Culture National Festival celebrates Saudi Arabian history by bringing together traditional Saudi folklore ranging from camel racing to poetry, art, theatre and history
“We are very pleased to meet Nissan’s fans at Janadriah for the second year running,” said Sheikh Ahmad Alhamrani, Chief Operating Officer of Alhamrani United Co.
“We are building on last year’s winning formula with a range of exciting activities. Previously, we offered test drives of the Nissan Pickup, this year we will host fun-drives, where drivers will be able to really put the cars through their paces,” said Sheikh Alhamrani. “We will also be repeating our poetry competition. This was a major success last year that generated over 1,000 poems about how Nissan’s sturdy Pickups have contributed to the welfare of Saudi citizens.”
“Nissan has over 50 years of supplying very durable vehicles to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, with many Nissan Pickups still supporting families, businesses and communities today. We look forward to building on this reputation by providing even more enjoyment for visitors to our venue at this year’s Janadriah,” said Reza Alavi, Head of the Light Commercial Vehicle Business Unit at Nissan Middle East.
The Janadriah festival runs from 5th March to 17th March. Festival timings are from 9am to 1pm and 3pm to 1am. Three days will be held exclusively for women. Nissan will host a range of special activities specifically for women and children, including a drawing competition, during this part of the festival.
